Thanks to all that participated in the very successful wood cutting work party at Bone Spring-Chapman Shelter on 6-25-16. With the help of over 20 members, officers, board members, and lots of family members, we stocked the heck out of the shelter for next winter. Probably over 4 cords of wood was cut, split and stacked with lots of help from the youth and grandchildren. A special thanks to Bob Smith for coordinating and promoting this very productive activity and to everyone who helped make it happen! In addition, the shelter was weed-eated, sprayed for ants, and rat poison was set out inside the shelter. Also, thanks to Bob and Cecil for mowing the lawn at the clubhouse.
There will also need to be a couple brushing activities on the lower trails. Those dates will be posted soon.
News from Jess and the groomers:
Former members of Skyline Club cut wood for Ruckle Shelter on the same day and time, so the wood in both shelters is in early. They also did maintenance on the shelter as well.
And from the Forest Service:
"On behalf of the Walla Walla Ranger District I’d like to extend our appreciation for you and the others who devoted so many volunteers hours to provide great snowmobiling experiences for the public. And a big thank you goes out to the club. Working through the end-of-season logging challenges with you is a prime example of how we can find solutions to challenges by working together. We truly value our partnership with you. Cheers!"
Club minutes are now posted under the top menu, Board/Minutes.

This recording is updated with current conditions everytime the groomers go out.
This change has been at the direction of a attorney. To be voted on at 6pm 3/2/13 at the membership meeting along with the election of board members. The change is that the prior version stated that the assets would be sold in the event of a dissolution and any money left would be distributed to the current members at the time of dissolution. It turns out we can't do this and any money left must be given to another non-profit(s) as decided by the current members and board of directors.
For the lower trails (from the clubhouse down) the contact will be Bob Carrell (509-947-6421) so if you have any questions or concerns he will be your direct contact.
These people will be able to bring to the board ideas for improving safety and access in their areas. In the past people may not have been sure who to contact with questions.
President Ken Miles
Vice President James Taylor
Secretary Dottie Carrol
Treasurer Bob Carrol
Parlimentarian Jack Preston.
