This week we have groomed 1 day and covered the snow parks up through Woodland, to the Alpine and back, and to Baldy 100 Rd and back. Grooming conditions were terrible. We just drug snow in front of the blade on the Idaho and could only push a big wad of snow on the front blade of the Tucker. The snow is still very wet from last week-end’s rain, and we really need below freezing temperatures for several days so we can roll the snow, fill the moguls, and set a trail. What we did this week was smooth over the top of the bumps, didn’t fill the moguls, this trail will not last because of above freezing temperatures, it will mush right back into bumps. Rain is in the forecast starting tonight with the freezing level shooting up to 7800 feet, and varying through the week-end, but still rain/snow in the forecast until Sunday. I can’t control the weather or fix the consequences of it right now. This has not been a good year for grooming. I certainly get tired of reporting bad news.
