This week we have groomed most trails: Jubilee, Skyline, Elk Trail, Powerline, McIntyre,Chalet, Shumway, Coyote 3719, Pole trail, through Spout to Ruckel, back Gordon Creek. This was the best week of grooming this year as temperatures were cold, 10 degrees at night, and upper 20’s during the day for the most part. All Snow parks have been opened up as well.
Thanks to Gary Wood for volunteering to trim brush above McDougal towards Shumway this week. The brush was starting to get pretty bad with the heavy snow.
The creeks across the meadows have frozen so we were able to cross TenEyke Meadow and the meadow below Shumway. There is snow in the forecast this week-end to add to the 7 feet that we have at the grooming shed right now.
Both Snowcats are running well right now, but we did have a bearing go out on the roller on the Idaho Special on the 08, we have fixed that.
Denny Farwell, District 7 & 8 Director at Large, OSSA, was my co-pilot this Thursday as he wanted to see some of our country. Thanks for his help in repairing the Idaho.
