We had an up and down week of grooming this week as temperatures with the storm fronts that have been coming through have varied greatly. We did get a lot done: Jubilee Rd both sides to Bone Springs, Timothy Loop, Skyline double groomed, Elk Trail, 6411, Morning Creek Snow Park out through Spout Springs to Woodland twice this week, Andies Snow Park, to Ruckle and back, Gordon Creek, Balloon Tree, Pole Trail, Coyote loop 3719, to the store, McIntyre Loop, Powerline trail, Target Meadows. All upper trails are in good shape, still hard with a few inches of new snow this last week. We still need more snow on top of this hard icy base.
I rode the VK down on the lower trails today, short choppy bumps down to the Chalet, but in good shape from McDougal up through the Shumway. Trails are hard down in the lower country with very little snow on top. I made the decision not to groom today on those trails as it will not improve what is there. These trails were wet and sticky, and a lot of places have less than a foot of snow. I am hoping the storms that are coming Sunday through Tuesday 3-6 inches forecast comes true and will give us some fresh snow to work with, especially in the low country. The temperature today when I left the groomer shed was 34 at 11 a.m.
