We had a pretty good week of grooming, other than Thursday when it warmed up on us by mid-morning, up to 35 so we couldn’t make a good trail coming back in from Bone Springs. We have groomed up through Spout to Woodland twice, to Ruckle, back Gordon Creek and Balloon Tree, to Bone Springs, Jubilee Lake both sides, Skyline double groomed, Elk Trail, 6411 shortcut, Timothy Shortcut back 6413 to 11A, Powerline trail, McIntyre, Target Meadows, Coyote 3719 Rd, to Morning Creek Snow park 3 times, to the store 3 times, and around Chalet/Shumway loop today with the Cat only due to the snow piles at Corwin corner, lots of dozing work had to be done there. the snow is not very deep in the McDougal area, but I did get the highway crossing bladed there. I was in the dirt 5 times coming up from McDougal through Shumway trying to knock moguls down. We need more snow in that lower country. At least there is a passable trail now. Lots of brush still sticking up in the McDougal area along the edge of the trail. Be careful down there. Both Cats are running well so far, we did have to repair brackets that hold the mirror guard on the 08 because it broke loose. We have one chain saw in the shop, hope to have it fixed and back on the mountain, but it is an old saw and no longer made, so may have to buy a new big saw.
