The Snocats are ready to go serviced, oil changed, greased, fluid samples checked, cleaned and waxed, filters changed, touch up painted. The fuel has been delivered and the DEF tank container has been topped off and full. We cleaned the shed and baited the mice and gophers and put in supplies for this coming winter this summer.
Thanks to Denny Farwell for hauling the 20 cat to Tucker and back to get all new cleats, new heated windshield, Trans check, and blade controll joystick electric switch repair. Thanks to Tucker and OSSA for these repairs.
Highway 204 has been designated at level C for maintenance this winter. That means no overtime and less time removing snow. Their budget has been cut due to lack of gas tax income. As groomer operators we will be on the mountain as soon as the highway is open and parking is plowed after a big storm. ODOT has towed vehicles in the past for not being far enough off to the side of the highway. One of our drivers had his Pickup towed to MF and I went to the mountain to rescue him and get his truck back. Need to have patience this winter.
