This week I was on the mountain Tuesday to snowmobile, and like Bob Smith, VP, reported, it was very hard and icy. We had some trouble with one machine overheating and having problems with hi-fax, but the trails were in good to excellent condition on Jubilee and Skyline, also out to Lookout Mt. I was on the mountain again today, and there was 3-4 inches of new snow at the grooming shed, the trails were still hard but have snow on the trails now to cool your machine. There is rain in the forecast starting later tonight through tomorrow, so I will wait to see how that turns out. It should get cold again by Sunday according to the forecast, and hopefully back to more normal weather into the first of the week allowing us to resume grooming.La Grande will be receiving their new snowcat next week, so we should get the 98 back hopefully next week. I have been distributing trail maps to advertisers this week in Milton-Freewater, Pendleton and on the mountain. This is our last year on this 4 year cycle of this map, so will be looking for advertisers this spring to pay for the map.thanks
