Urgent May 11 Update

Happy Mother’s Day everyone.  After spending valuable time with family this weekend, we ask you to look over the information provided and if you have any information that can help keep our forest accessible, please submit your input.  Comments without submissions or attachments are also needed!

Please share this info with your friends and family, other hobby groups, clubs, etc.

What is needed is any photos or documents that can show usage, such as roads, gravel pits, logging or construction type activities, that have taken place in the areas marked as having “wilderness like characteristics”.  Do you have any old copies of snowmobile or other power sports trail maps, showing trails or riding areas in the orange shaded areas?  Do you have a cabin in an area of section 36?

Do you recreate within the Walla Walla River Drainage?  Trails such as Burnt Cabin, Rough Fork, or North Fork Walla Walla Trail # 3222, which is open to motorcycles, or South Fork Walla Walla Trail # 3225 are included in the area shown below.

There are many other areas in the Tollgate area that are included in the “Wilderness characteristics” classification.  Please take a look and give your feedback.
