Water holes on trails

I visited with John Mandersheid yesterday about the water holes at Spout Springs and at Woodland highway crossing.  I asked if we could put logs in the holes so snowmobiles could get across, he said OK so we can cut small lengths of nearby dead trees that are laying on the ground and throw them in the water.  There are some dead logs really close to the Spout Springs water hole (within 50 feet that are laying on the ground) but not so convenient at Woodland.  We still do not have much snow and it looks like rain/snow mix changing to snow towards the end of the week.

I snowmobiled last Thursday.  Roads are in good shape.  I went to the store and back and the creek crossing on Ten Eyke Meadow was frozen over at that time but did have rocks or wood sticking out of the snow.  Sure need more snow.

Thanks

Jess
